Bluff City, TN 06202011

This campground was a long way from the freeway, on a one lane road in the middle of pasture land. This one caters to horse owners with a stable and paddocks. When we arrived three campers were setting out on their mounts for an afternoon ride.
One of the paddocks, no vehicles are allowed on this road. This is a beautiful place, but no cell reception or internet service.
This is our cabin, the one with the open door. We were very close to the bath house. There weren't many campers there this day, but they were all very friendly.
Finding a nearby place for dinner was a challenge. Since this was a monday some were closed. We finally settled for Bar-B-Q at this mobile stand. Turkey leg and coleslaw. One camper, J.C., had offerd us some of the chicken he had just cooked, but Dan did not want to impose. Too bad since this dish looked more tasty than the turkey leg. We did, however sample J.C.'s steak dish later that evening and it was absolutely delicious. J.C. loves to cook and was handing plates of food to anyone who stopped by the camp fire near his tent. His girlfriend, Chris, told us that she has gained 27 pounds since they got together. We sat around the campfire this evening and visited with the campground owners and a few other camper. We had a great time.
This might be a lane to avoid traveling along.
One of the farms we passed on our way out of the campground. At least we had a nice quiet night.
