The highway is still lined with pine forest. We are headed to the scenic highway 30 that follows the Columbia River.

When we reached this point with a panoramic view of the river a thick fog was rolling in.

There was a brief break in the fog.

Then the fog was back.

We stopped at
Shepherd's Dell. The face of the stone cliff along the path is covered with moss.

A good photo of how thick the
vegetation is in this part of the country.

The falls at
Shepherd's Dell.

On the path to Bridal Veil Fall. The moss covered the trees

Bridal Veil Fall.

A Glimpse of the Columbia River.
Multnoma Falls. We almost skipped this one, but wow, it is amazing.

We camped at
Ainsworth State Park, just 7 miles east of
Multnoma Falls. This is where we learned that being near the restrooms is not
always an advantage. It was a fairly steep walkway from our van to the restrooms.

These bushes were all over the campground. The blossoms look like the curly gift ribbons.
