This review entry is a day late. There were fireworks sales stands everywhere for the past 3 or 4 days before the 4th. There was one in the lot next to place we stayed in Junction City, KS. The city show was scheduled to start at 10 pm, but the residents started at 9 pm with some pretty impressive fireworks. Just as pretty as the pros, but not has high in the sky. Quite a nice "pre-show show".
We noticed people setting up their chairs in the lot next to the fireworks stand, so we joined them. The "pre-show show" was all around us with some being set off in that lot. The city show started right on time and was fabulous. There was a slight breeze and the temp. cooled down, so it was very comfortable sitting outside for the fireworks display.
An advantage of joining the group at the stand was that we got to visit and they shared the bug repellant spray so we wouldn't have to go back to the van and get ours.
*** This was a definite plus for the 4th of July***
