We stayed at this Clarion Hotel that has a Water Park in the center of the property. The hotel rooms create a square around the water park. The weather was great. A little cloudiness, just enough to cool the temp., and plenty of balance with the clear skies.
The ribbon of water surrounding the water slides is a "lazy river". We could float on inner tubes at a leisurely pace, but walking against the current took some effort. This was a great place to cool off in the middle of the day.
Some people spent a lot of time around and in this pool and some of them got too much sun. We stayed in the shade as much as possible. We enjoyed the stay here.
There are characters like these all over the grounds. Some of them were a little scary. Too bad I didn't get a photo of the hammerhead shark.

This auto was near the station where we gassed up before leaving Orland.
The wild flowers along the roadside were impressive.
